She worked for 7 years in chemistry, biology, genetics, and medical research labs and pursued her academic passions in languages, cultures, folklore, mythology, classics, and literature.

Dawn did her graduate work in Human Development. She taught Math and Biological Foundations of Human Development classes at Utah Valley University and Brigham Young University, respectively, for 4+ years, spent 7 years in online educational publishing with Waterford Research Institute and K12, and taught standardized test prep courses (LSAT, GMAT, GRE, DAT, ACT) nights and weekends at BYU for 7 years.

Dawn’s students have been successfully admitted to undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs at Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Pennsylvania, Columbia, Duke, Johns Hopkins, West Point, Case Western, Boston University, New York University, Georgetown, Brigham Young University, University of California (several campuses), Texas A&M, University of Washington, Syracuse University, Baylor University, University of Utah, University of Florida, Seattle University, City University of New York, California Institute for the Arts, Florida State University, and more.

Dawn currently lives in Washington state. Her passion is for teaching, for helping students overcome obstacles and achieve their dreams--whether that's gaining admission to a choice school, earning a competitive scholarship or fellowship, or landing an aspirational job role.
